Homo Sapiens 2.0

We are getting set for a Breakout.
On average, we live about 6 to 10 years longer than our parents. This shows on the historical curve of average human lifespans of the last 150 years.
Leading Philosophers and Technologists such as Yuval Harari, Jamie Metzl, etc. define Homo Sapiens 2.0 broadly as the next level of human evolution encompassing genetic engineering, human and artificial intelligence collaboration, life extension leading to immortality, transhumanism, etc. Let us focus on what Homo Sapiens 2.0 means for life extension and age reversal.
Humans have lived for the past 2 million odd years, where a normal human is born, lives a few years, grows old, has some health issues and dies, by say 70 or 80 years of age (average age today being 73 years). This is how it has been since the beginning of history and this is how we accept it, because there has been no deviation to this rule. Well, we are on the anvil of a new beginning where the rules of growing old, dying by 70 or 80 and death itself may no longer remain valid. Overwhelming evidence suggests that these established rules are in for a dramatic reversal - where we grow biologically young (not old), we can remain healthy and active for as long as we live, average lifespans increase to 100 and beyond, and perhaps we even get to determine our lifespan itself!
Welcome to the Next Level: Homo Sapiens 2.0.
Here is what we already know:
Scientists have identified 9 pathways of ageing1 and are working on resolving each one of these. The basic idea is that if we can initiate repair / renewal / reprograming process or a replacement program, in the affected pathways, which may have been impacted by normal bodily process’, we can stop and also reverse the ageing process itself. We are seeing successful results in lab experiments and smaller human studies, on all 9 pathways of ageing.
Considering these advancements in research, it is estimated by experts that, by 2035, we will have a 50% chance of achieving Age reversal2 - which means, it will be possible for us to become younger, as we age!3
With age reversal and increased youthfulness, we will automatically remain healthier and active, even as we age!
As an extension to all this, average lifespans (with good health) may increase beyond imagination!
A future vision of advance age reversal is to be able to attain a chosen state of youthfulness as well. (Imagine, advancing to an era where you may have the option to remain at a biological age of 30 years, permanently, if you so desire!)
So how should we prepare for this?
For the young at heart: your life expectancy is going to increase - due to the normal average age curve as also the early benefits of age reversal research. In order to have a healthy and active lifespan, stay tuned in to research in this space and follow all the possible suggestions. If you live long enough, you can expect to enjoy the direct benefits of age reversal as well. Take this seriously, you have this advance warning!
For the young audience: get ready for the joy ride of your life! Keep an active vigil on the latest research in the space of age reversal and adopt as many suggestions as possible. Plan on a very active life and a constant reinvention of everything. You can dream for the stars and get there, if you want!

American Federation for Ageing Research lists these 9 hallmarks of ageing
https://www.afar.org/what-are-the-hallmarks-of-aging
These hallmarks are:
1. Epigenetic alterations,
2. protein problems,
3. deregulated nutrient sensing,
4. mitochondrial dysfunction,
5. accumulation of senescent cells,
6. stem cell or cellular exhaustion,
7. altered intercellular communication or signal failure,
8. DNA damage / instability,
9. telomere attrition or trimmed telomeres.

Google’s head of engineering, the innovator and futurist Ray Kurzweil, often discusses the concept of “longevity escape velocity,” or the point at which science can extend your life for more than a year for every year that you are alive. As far-out as this sounds, according to Kurzweil, we are a lot closer than you might expect. “It’s likely [that we’re] just another 10 to 12 years away from the point that the general public will hit longevity escape velocity.” In Article: “We are nearing ‘longevity escape velocity’ — where science can extend your life for more than a year for every year you are alive” Published: Feb. 25, 2020 By Peter H. I do agree to this to a big extent .We need to find ways of coming out of the three stage life and keep active .Great article !
Recently read an amazing book “the 100 year life “ by Lynda Gratton and Andrew J.Scott.It reinforces your views.Look forward to hearing and participating more .
Are there any if's and buts for this ? What happens to Karma?
